Blessing and Cleansing of Yourself, Home, and Space!

Good day to my Readers and Blessings To All! Today's topic is Blessing and Cleansing of yourself, your home, and Your Sacred Space. I personally do this ritual very regularly at the New Moon and Full Moon and in between while I am performing new rituals and working on new crafts. I used to have a similar blog on Myspace, however I have added to and revised the original since then, so this shall be a new blog post for those who want to read the extended version with the recipes and other information I have added into the old blog post. I used to write extensively in the blog on Myspace until the site basically went dead and I noticed a sharp decrease in visitors which made me somewhat sad because all that work is now being re posted yet again!  If you're like me , you do not like to see effort and time wasted because of others no matter the reason!

Anywho, down to business. We are now approaching a New moon on the 10th of April 2013, said New moon will fall in the sign of Aries, which is a Fire sign and there will be plenty of heat and inspiration to action in this New Moon! All projects to do with home renovations and domestic matters will receive a fiery dose of inspiration towards action and create warm and fuzzy vibes !  This in my view, is a great time to do a Blessing and Cleansing for your home and space and to bring in Positive and Beneficial vibes and energies into the home and for yourself. We shall start with  the recipies I personally use for my work as they are essential in the usage of Blessing and Cleansing in the ritual I shall be describing further on in the post.

The four elements will be used to Bless and Cleanse yourself, your home and ritual space, Four elements bieng Earth,Air,Water, Fire respectively, and we shall call upon Spirits of each as we follow the steps to the ritual.  We shall start our Ritual in our Sacred Space, as this will be the focal point of the energy bieng drawn and manifested for the rest of the ritual. Most traditional Altars and Altar Rooms are set up in the Eastern wall or corner of a particular room, mine is actually my bedroom so therefore I get to do two rooms with one go. If you do not have a altar space or a room for your working then you shall start in the farthest eastern part of your home.

Your supplies shall be as follows: 1/2 cup of sea salt, 1/2 cup of baking soda, mixed together in a bowl,
1 large bottle of Holy Water, 1 bundle of smudging incense made of White Sage, Cedar,or my recipe
listed below in a fireproof container, and 1 white standard sized candle.

We begin in the Eastern section of the room or space, and take up in your palm, with your dominant hand, a large pinch of our salt/soda mixture, pass the mixture around yourself three times, and say aloud "I call forth the Energy and Spirits of Earth, to Bless and cleanse this space and myself of all negative and malevolent energies and this room and myself are Blessed and cleansed!" Go clockwise three times around to the four corners of the room in a large circle and sprinkle the salt/soda, beginning at the East, and go South, West  North and back to East.  Sprinkle all types of entry points of where negative and malevolent energy can enter the room or space, including closets, doorways, mirrors, windows, and similar openings.
Next, light your incense smudge or stick, begin again in the East, going clockwise around the room, and say, "I call forth the Energy and Spirits of Air,to Bless and Cleanse this room and myself of all negative and malevolent energies, and this room and myself are Blessed and Cleansed!" Gently waft the smoke over all entry points and around yourself three times, going to each corner of the room again in a wide circle as close as you can.
Next, take your bowl or bottle of Holy or Blessed Water, starting again in the East, dip the fingers of your dominant hand nto the bowl, anoint yourself three times on the forehead, inner wrists, and ankles, and incant aloud "I call forth the Energies and Spirits of Water to Bless and Cleanse this space and myself of all negative and malevolent energies, this space and myself are Cleansed and Blessed!" again , go East, South,  West and North with your bowl of water, gently sprinkling small droplets on all entry points and upon vulnerable spots in the room in a wide circle.
Next, we will light the white candle, again standing in the East, light the candle and incant aloud,  "I call upon the Energies and Spirits of Fire, to Bless and Cleanse this space and myself of all negative and malevolent energies, this space and myself is now Blessed and Cleansed!" again go three times around the room as directed above clockwise, shine the candle into the entry points and over the dark corners and spaces of the room where dark energies will be chased away by the light.

Congratulations! you just successfully Cleansed and Blessed your space! But now comes the repetitive part. The whole process stated above needs to be done in every room of the entire house if you really are intent on Blessing the entire house.. Bedrooms, living areas, kitchen, bathroom, basement, attic, and any other room of the house, and repeated exactly as stated above. Otherwise, if you just want to do your Space and yourself then you are now finished. This ritual works very well to cleanse and banish negatives and potentially harmful entities and vibes from the home and space, and you are also cleansing and blessing yourself in the process. It is especially suitable for rooms where known negative energy exists or a recent bout of negative emotions and incidents have occurred. say, a fight with your spouse or unruly teenager, or just a bad feeling in the room itself. Hopefully by the time you have finished the one room, you shall feel a warm presence and a tingly vibe present from calling forth all that wonderful positive energy! If you do not feel comfortable with leaving the salt/soda mixture sprinkled onto the floors and other areas, it can be dusted and and swept up now as the energies from earth are now manifest and have done their job. The Holy water will evaporate provided you did not douse everything. The scent from the incense will disappear with time.

Creation of Holy Water: You can buy Holy water from the supply store already blessed, or you can make your own in a pinch, I use a quart of pure spring water or rain water, with a tablespoon of salt and a piece of silver or quartz crystal added, which has been held against full moonlight for overnight and bottle it. when you are done with the crystal and silver, you can save it for another use as it is now charged too! Other methods of Holy water, is to collect pure sea water with no bits of debris in it, this is a very strong and natural source of Blessed water. als, collecting snow on a Full moon is great too as its blessed as it is falling.
I mentioned earlier a recipe I use for Blessing and Cleansing, it is a herbal powder mixture I use for incense, and the powder can be ground fine and used as a incense for Air,a sprinkling powder to represent Earth,or infused with pure olive oil to make a very nice Holy Oil. the herbs and ingredients are as follows:

 My personal Holy Oil recipe:
Inside a small cup of about 2-4 oz of 100% purest virgin olive oil, or almond oil, add the following ground ingredients:
1 piece of angelica root, about 1/4 inch.
1 piece of Devils Shoe string root, about 1/4 inch
1/8 tps of St Johns wort
1/8 tps Vervain
1/8 tps Vertiver
1/8 tps crushed Juniper Berries, (about 4-5 berries)
1/8 tps of Five Finger grass, (aka Cinquefoil)
1/8 tps of Rosemary
1/8 tps of Thyme
1 crumbled Bay leaf
1/8 tps of Frankincense resin or powder
1/8 tps of Myrrh resin or powder
1/8 tps of Mugwort
1/8 tps of Calamus root
1/8 tps of Licorice root.

Heat boiling water for 10 minutes, add the herbs to the oil and stir until blended, do not let it boil or burn or scorch. Stir evenly while it is heating to prevent sticking and burning. Allow to cool and bottle entire contents and allow to sit in a place where sunlight can hit it so the warmth will help it to steep.
This oil must steep for at least two weeks to obtain a scent. Made at the New Moon and left to infuse preferably for 6 weeks to obtain full strength. Use to anoint objects, tools, home, space and body to forcefully drive out malevolent and negative energies and spirits, and provide protection while doing potentially dangerous spiritual practices such as contacting and directly working with the dead, and being in places where there is known spirit activity or there has been strong energies associated with negative and malevolent energies. May also be used during exorcisms and driving away unwanted spirits and entities from your home and yourself. When used inside the home or in a room, anoint all doors, windows, closet doors, edges of doors and door ways, any spot that could possibly used as a "entry" point for bad spirits and entities, also the bed and bed frame and any furniture or particular objects perceived as a attachment point for spirits and entities..on the body, anoint the top of head, forehead, chest, lower abdomen below the belly button, inner wrists, ankles, and center of back on opposite sides from chest and lower belly. may also use the herbs without the oil as a incense to fumigate the home and space that is afflicted with unwanted energies and spirits. this can also be made with a water and 100 proof clear alcohol base and used as a wash for washable materials.such as bedding and clothing. test the water and alcohol solution first to see if it does not stain anything.

I have some of this mixture, it is my own personal recipe I formulated myself,  and I keep it made and on hand at all times in case of emergency use. It has a very strong scent and I have discovered that anyone and anything with a bad intent or with negative influence does not seem to like the scent or goes near where it has been applied. You may choose to leave the herbs inside the oil or strain them, I left mine in the bottle and have actually reused the original herbs to top off a new batch of oil and I just added a dab of fresher powder inside the bottle. I say if it can still be used then do not waste precious materials!
To all my readers, Blessed Be!
I will be back very soon!
